Shikhar Dhawan turns 32 and the Indian team is celebrating his birthday in full fervour. India is already playing a Test at Delhi, where they are 7 wickets away from taking a 2-0 lead in the series. Dhawan, who turned 32 on December 5, was the highest scorer for the Indian team in the second innings of the 3rd Test at Delhi, he scored 67. At the end of Day 4, Dhawan was seen along with the entire team in the dressing room. We are confident it is the dressing room, as we can spot lockers in the backdrop.

In the video, we see his opening partner Murali Vijay and first down Cheteshwar Pujara in the midst of it all. If one looks at the video carefully, one will also spot Virat Kohli applying cake on his face for a brief period. They have no plans of letting Shikhar escape. They get hold of him and paint his face with cake all over it. In the 50 sec video, we first see the birthday cake for Dhawan. It has Dhawan’s picture on it, a bat and ball. Shikhar is not wearing a shirt or a tee, he is bare-bodied, probably because he does not want to get them dirty. While the southpaw cuts the cake, we see the entire Indian team in the backdrop. They are all singing, we suppose.

Dhawan is in good form and would like to continue his purple patch in South Africa as well. After the Sri Lanka series, Team India will leave for South Africa on December 27 for 3 Test matches, 6 ODIs and 3 T20Is, starting January 5.
