Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag sparked a debate on Twitter after he asked his fans if Cheteshwar Pujara should play the second Test.
Sehwag tweeted this after Pujara was dropped from Team India during the first Test match against England at Edgbaston which India lost by 31 runs.
Virat Kohli showed trust on KL Rahul and asked him to bat at crucial No 3 in the opening Test match of the five-match series. Pujara was made to sit on the bench.
Following the loss, Indian captain Kohli is facing criticism over his team selection.
On early August 6 morning, Sehwag posted on his Twitter handle, “Pope likely to play for England, Should India play Pujara in the second test. ? After all it’s Lords.”

So far, Sehwag’s tweet has 1,520 retweets and over 500 comments. Here are a few of them.
Surely Pujara need to play, if he not score runs at least waste energy of England bowlers, may score 20 runs in 200 balls. _ and next match will not end in 3 and half day,

Yes positively Pujara 100% must play in the 2nd test he’s been our best performer in our home season scoring past even Kohli and in south Africa he hit a 50 which no other top indian batsman could do except Kohli.Dropping Pujara just because of poor county form is unacceptable

Pujara is always a man of your playing XI viru sir. He has shown with his batting over the time. Kohli can eliminate M Vijay and send KL and Shikhar for opening! Plus Pujara! It will be a good squad then! KL and Shikhar! Pujara! Kohli! Rahane! DK!

At the Mecca of cricket , we should get back Pujara in the Playing 11, we need a player who can bat for long hours and also get Rishabh Pant in for DK.

Right team combination would be the key for India as they would be hoping to bounce back in the second Test at Lord’s which commences on August 9.
Pujara might get his place in playing XI as the Indian skipper Kohli would now want a strong batting line-up.
Besides Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav may also make it to the playing XI for the Lord’s Test.
