Rohit Sharma, the star Indian opener and the current stand-in skipper of team India, had a wonderful outing on December 13, at Mohali, against Sri Lanka. The Mumbai lad smashed the third double hundred of his ODI career, which is also the maximum by any cricketer on this planet. Moreover, he reached this feat on his 2nd wedding anniversary. His wife Ritika Sajdeh was present at the stadium’s gallery, and looked more nervous than her husband who was busy smashing the Lankan bowling attack on field.
Ritika kept her fingers crossed as long as Rohit was batting. The moment the stand-in skipper took a double, and got yet another double ton in ODIs, his wife couldn’t stop her tears. Rohit kissed his ring finger and waved it towards his wife.

After the game ended, Rohit stated that his double hundred was a gift for her wife, Ritika. He said,”I am sure she would have liked this gift from me. She is my strength and keeps supporting me.”
This entire episode deeply touched Bollywood’s veteran actor Anupam Kher. The 62-year-old actor took to his official Twitter account to share the glimpses of that moment and termed it “so moving and so beautiful.”

It was Rohit Sharma’s 2nd double ton against Sri Lanka. He remained unbeaten on 208* and became the second Indian captain to score a double century in ODIs. His epic innings came up in 153 balls and was laced with 12 sixes and 13 fours.
