Sourav Ganguly has given Virat Kohli the greatest compliment he ever got!

Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has complimented Test captain Virat Kohli for his attitude, saying he never leaves an inch to the opposition. Sourav, who was known for his aggression on the field during his tenure as the Indian captain, said Kohli is even more aggressive than him. “Virat’s aggression is two times more than mine,” PTI quoted him on the sidelines of a function.

Sourav Ganguly was himself a very aggressive captain. He showed this side of him when India won NatWest finals in 2002 in England. Ganguly had taken off his shirt and waved it in the pavilion. It is one of the most iconic moments of the game.

Ganguly was criticised for his behaviour, but he became popular as an aggressive captain. His behaviour was not unjustified as England’s former all-rounder Andrew Flintoff had also done the same in India.Ganguly was succeeded by MS Dhoni who turned to be a cool captain. He never showed his emotions on and off the field. Virat Kohli became the Test captain after him. His approach to the game is completely different. He doesn’t hide his emotions and go for the kill every single time. His decisions are also aggressive.

Under Kohli, the Indian team is undefeated for the last 17 Test matches. India are also the number one Test team in the world.

Kohli is in a great form as a batsman. He has been scoring tons of runs in all the three formats of cricket. He has scored three double tons this year, the only Indian captain to do so. He has more than 1000 runs in a year. He also became the only batsman to have an average of over 50 in Test, ODI, and T20 cricket.
