South Africa women’s cricket team captain Dane van Niekerk tied the knot with her team’s all-rounder Marizanne Kapp. They tied the knot in a private ceremony.

Kapp announced their wedding news to their fans via an Instagram post. The 28-year-old took to Instagram and shared two images from the wedding and captioned it with a ring emoji.

Kapp and van Niekerk became the second women’s cricket pair to get married after New Zealand’s Amy Satterthwaite and Lea Tahuhu.

With 1,770 runs, van Niekerk is fourth on the list of South Africa’s all-time run-getters while Kapp is placed sixth with 1,618 runs.

Earlier in June 2016, van Niekerk was appointed as South Africa women’s captain for all forms (Test, ODI and T20I) after Mignon du Preez decided to step down from the leadership post.
