Team India ODI squad against New Zealand announced, Jadeja-Ashwin ignored again, KL Rahul dropped

India will be going up against New Zealand in three ODIs and three T20Is starting October 22

BCCI has announced Team India’s ODI squad against New Zealand in the upcoming limited overs series including three ODIs and three T20Is. India will be playing their first ODI on October 22 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. KL Rahul has been dropped from the Indian side following his ordinary performances against Australia and Sri Lanka. Dinesh Karthik makes a surprising comeback into the ODI squad. He did not get a chance to play in the T20I.

Surprise inclusion

Shardul Thakur has been included in the ODI squad ahead of Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav. BCCI has backed Thakur against the veterans rewarding the youngster for his performance in List A format. Thakur has played just two ODIs and picked up one wicket against Sri Lanka

List of players ignored

There were rumours that Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh failed the Yo-Yo test. Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja could not make the squad as Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel have been doing well in the recent matches.
