Left-arm pacer from New Zealand, Trent Boult, recently tied the knot with his long time girlfriend Gert Smith in a lavish ceremony at Kauri Bay Boomrock in Clevedon, south of Auckland. Trent Boult, who made his Test debut in 2011 against Australia and One Day International (ODI) debut in 2012 against West Indies, reportedly proposed to Gert Smith last year in June during their trip to Melbourne.
Boult recently shared this with his fans on Instagram. Boult posted a picture of himself with Gert, who is a teacher, and captioned it as: “The best day of my life and so much more. An absolutely amazing day celebrating with all our closest family & friends — Thanks to everyone who influenced the day and to the gorgeous Gert for making all my dreams come true. I love you.”
According to NZ Herald, the couple live in the Mount and have been together for about three years.
Earlier, in February 2017, Trent Boult became the fourth-most expensive player to be auctioned in the Indian Premier League after the bid by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan-owned Kolkata Knight Riders was secured.
Soon after his auction, Trent Bould said that he was least concerned with the money. “I’m not going for the money. The experience of playing there in front of thousands of people is the most exciting part,” Boult said.
During the IPL 2017 auction, Boult also became the second-most expensive Black Caps player to feature in the cash-rich league after Brendon McCullum, who was bought by Gujarat Lions for Rs 7.5 crore in 2015.
