The entire world witnessed Ashish Nehra saying goodbye to international on November 1 at his home ground. India beat New Zealand by 53 runs and Nehra received the best parting gift. While Nehra was bidding adieu to the game of cricket, Virat Kohli revealed the story behind the picture of him the Indian veteran bowler which went viral on the social media.
While speaking to Sanjay Manjrekar during the post-match presentation ceremony, Kohli said,
“That was back in 2003 after he had come back from the World Cup. I was 13 then and struggling for a place in the school team.”
On the other hand, people on the social media recalled his picture with Virat Kohli which created a buzz. They even collaged that old picture with the new one in which Virat could be seen presenting a memento to the Indian bowling legend.
