The Indian cricket team on Monday completed their rout over England as they handed an innings defeat to them at Wankhede stadium. England were bowled out for 195 runs in their second innings. R Ashwin took another five-for, his 24th, to humiliate the English side. With this, India have won the Test series, 3-0, with one match to go.

Meanwhile, after the win, Twitter almost exploded with congratulatory messages. Cricketers, politicians, and commoners came out on the micro-blogging side to express their happiness at the achievement of Team India. However, the best reaction came from British journalist Piers Morgan as he said Virat Kohli and R Ashwin were the best batsman and the best bowler in the world respectively.

After a five-for in the first innings, R Ashwin repeated his performance in the second innings as he finished with 12 wickets in the match. England, which resumed the match at 182/6, were no match for the big turner, Ashwin’s bowling as they bundled out before lunch. Joe Root was the highest scorer for England as he scored 77.

On Sunday, Virat Kohli scored a double ton to steer India’s total to a massive 631. Lower-order batsman Jayant Yadav also proved that he was a solid batsman as he scored his maiden century. In reply, England lost 6 wickets in a day. They were finished off on day 5 by Indian spinners.
