Rohit Sharma led team India got off to a dismal start after being asked to bat first in the 1st ODI at Dharamsala. India’s famed top six minus Virat Kohli managed to cobble merely 28 runs for 6 wickets. None of the batsmen got into double figures. Debutante Shreyas Iyer scored 9 which was the highest runs among the top six. Karthik and Dhawan scored ducks. Rohit, the stand-in captain scored 2 runs.

Suranga Lakmal was the pick of the Lankan bowlers scalping 4 for 13 in his 10 overs. Matthews too got a wicket. India’s woeful batting display created mayhem on Twitter. Indian fans trolled and bashed their heroes brutally on the social platform.

India is also in the scare of being dismissed for their lowest ever total in ODIs, it happens to be 54 against the same opposition.
