Virat Kohli gives Afghanistan cricketers valuable advice for future — Watch Video

Virat Kohli shares his experience and congratulates Afghanistan cricketers for their journey so far and wishes them luck for future

Virat Kohli has always been an ambassador of the sport. The Indian skipper shared a message for the Afghanistan cricketers ahead of their Test debut and on the conclusion of their T20 tournament. Afghanistan Cricket Board’s (ACB) Twitter handle posted a video of Kohli congratulating the Afghan cricketers. Kohli felt that Afghanistan cricketers have done well in the recent past and lauded their effort to reach this position. The 28-year-old wished them good luck for their future endeavours.

Kohli gave a few tips to Afghan cricketers as well in the video. He asked them to stay true their nature, trust in their ability and work hard for their goals. He felt that there is passion in these cricketers and also advised them to learn from cricketers but never follow anyone blindly.

Not only Afghanistan but Ireland have been given the Test status recently by International Cricket Council (ICC). There were rumours that former Indian batsman Mohammad Kaif will be coaching them. However, due to recent developments former Australian cricketer Dean Jones has been appointed as the interim head coach of the team. Afghanistan will be going up against Hong Kong in the ICC Intercontinental Cup match at the Mission Road Cricket Ground, Mong Kok starting October 20.

ACB and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have had good relations between them. Afghanistan cricketers have played international and domestic matches in the Greater Noida Stadium. Although there have been two players who have stood out. Teenage sensation Rashid Khan and former Afghanistan skipper Mohammad Nabi.

Rashid got a whopping deal of Rs 4.5 crore in Indian Premier League (IPL) playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The leggie has been doing well since then making a name for himself in Caribbean Premier League (CPL). The 19-year-old is set to play in the Big Bash League (BBL) as well.
