Virat Kohli is champion but Sachin Tendulkar is on another level: Harbhajan Singh

"Virat always had the hunger and any person who has the hunger, he doesn’t look back", Said Harbhajan Singh while praising Virat Kohli

Indian skipper Virat Kohli is touching new heights with every match he is playing. His consistency has been highly impressive in this calendar year. The cricket experts keep on praising his performance and believe he is a legend in making. Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly recently spoke Virat’s stint on the cricket field. He compared the 29-year-old Delhi lad with Harbhajan and VVS Laxman and stated he has the ability to win matches for the country on his own.

According to an Indian Express report, Ganguly, in a media event, said,

“When we used to go to Australia, there was a gut feeling Laxman and Harbhajan will defeat Australia on their own. Kohli gives me the same feeling.”

When asked if Virat could break master blaster Sachin Tendulkar’srecordof most number of International centuries, Ganguly said,

“Don’t know if Virat can break Sachin’s records. I don’t compare two generations. But he has scored 52 and if he plays at this rate, he can reach Sachin’s record.”

India’s veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh also shared the stage with his former captain. Speaking of Kohli’s comparison with Sachin, Bhajji said,

“Sachin and Virat are different batsmen. It won’t be fair on Sachin. Nobody is like Sachin and there will never be another Tendulkar ever in world cricket. I’ve bowled to both batsmen and I feel getting Sachin out was impossible.”

Harbhajan also praised the way Virat is going ahead in his career. He also made it clear that Sachin’s ability and heroics cannot be matched. Harbhajan said,

“Virat always had the hunger and any person who has the hunger, he doesn’t look back. He is a champion player and is a role-model for all young players. Virat is a great batsman, in great form and has been dominating for the past 4-5 years but I feel Tendulkar is on another level.”

Virat Kohli currently has 52 international hundreds in his name. The way he is scoring runs in every game, it seems possible that he can 100 international tons in the future.
