Virat Kohli, Murali Vijay engage in the ‘dab’ celebration once Murali Vijay got to his 11th Test century during the 3rd Test at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. Virat Kohli too brought up his 20th Test century, 11th in 2017 across formats. This century also happens to be Virat Kohli’s 52nd overall century. Earlier, with a 1-0 lead, Virat Kohli had no hesitation in opting to bat first on a batting friendly Feroz Shah Kotla pitch.
India got off to a rollicking start before Shikhar Dhawan became the first batsman to get out, looking to play an aggressive sweep to Dilruwan Perera, only to find the top edge and the squarish fine-leg. Lakmal, who took the catch lost his shoe but still managed to hold his ground to take the catch. Pujara too did not get the big score he is known to after getting a start, he departed for 23.
At Tea on Day 1 of the 3rd Test, India are 245/2 (Vijay 101*, Virat 94*).

Virat Kohli joined Murali Vijay and their good run started. Virat Kohli was looking a different player, he was looking to dominate. He got to a run-a-ball 50 and then carried on to get a century. But before Virat Kohli got to that magic number, Vijay was faster to it and that is what called for the ‘dab’ celebration.
