Virat Kohli has been in ominous form, to put things in perspective, he has slammed two double hundreds in 7 days. Who on earth won’t envy that! He has also been breaking records at a premium, such has been his form. It started from the Kolkata Test against Sri Lanka, where he got a hundred to steer India out of a precarious situation. Then in the 2nd Test, he got a double ton. Now, in his home ground at Delhi, he has got another double century, this also being his highest ever Test score. He scored a near-run-a-ball 243 to lend India the advantage in the final Test at Delhi.

The Delhi double was the Indian skipper’s 20th Test hundred and his 6th double century. It was also his 11th hundred in 2017 across formats. Virat will now go on a leave that has been permitted by BCCI, to recharge his batteries ahead of the all-important South Africa series, which begins just after the Sri Lanka series.
