Virat Kohli's love for his beard might have gone to the next level if the rumours are to be believed

Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s iconic beard is going to get insured if rumours are to be believed. #ViratInsuresBeard is one of the top trends on the Twitter. In a video leaked on Youtube, a man can be seen measuring Kohli’s beard while the other is clicking pictures from various angles. The person is also seen taking a sample by plucking Kohli’s beard and putting it in the plastic bag. Towards the end of the video Kohli also signs a piece of paper.

If the rumours are true and Kohli does get his beard insured, he will probably be India’s first sports celebrity to have a body part insured. Argentina and Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has got his legs insured for a staggering 750 million dollars. Few Hollywood celebrities too have got their body parts insured.

However, unlike Messi, Kohli’s beard does not have any significance when it comes to his game. Here are a few Twitter reaction to the news –

Virat is currently suffering a neck injury which prevented him from playing for Surrey County Cricket Club in England. He is not playing in the historic Test against Afghanistan. The 29-year-old will play in the T20I series against Ireland and England.
