181-run fourth-wicket stand between Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal put Sri Lanka back in the game

Sri Lanka’s opening batsman Sadeera Samarawickrama, who was hit on the helmet grill on the opening day of the third Test match, faced another unusual incident. While he was batting at 27 on Day 3 of the Test match, Indian captain Virat Kohli’s return throw hit him in the back.

Sadeera, who came to bat at the unusual No.5 position after the dismissal of Angelo Mathews, was standing at non-striker end when Virat Kohli’s return throw after he saved a boundary hit him in his back.
