Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag played cricket at the Oval Maidan, Mumbai with the Royal couple of Belgium, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde. They played cricket with the school kids and interacted with them. The Belgian royal couple at the invitation of President of India, Ram Nath Kovind on the 70th anniversary of ties between the two countries. The royal couple’s tour started on November 5 and they will be flying back to Belgium on November 11.
Sehwag was seen playing his trademark cricketing shots towards the offside. King Philippe too played a few shots. Whereas Queen Mathilde was a bit aggressive in her approach and came down the wicket to hit the ball as the students clapped after her shots in appreciation.
The 39-year-old also gave the royal couple a bat signed by him at the event. He also retweeted the video of the event shared by UNICEF India.

This is the first time the Belgian royal couple has toured India. They started their journey from Agra, they were also invited by the President for an official forecourt ceremony in the honour of the King at Rashtrapati Bhavan on November 7. Prime Minister Narendra Modi too met the Belgian royal couple in order to talk about strengthening the bilateral ties.
