Virender Sehwag shares ‘alag hi feel’ moment on 9th anniversary of his ‘TRIPLE TONS’!

Virender Sehwag filled excitement in a drawn Test match with his second triple century in longer version of the game against South Africa 9 years ago

Virender Sehwag has made a habit out of posting witty tweets, this time he goes one step ahead and celebrates his triple century in an unusual way. Sehwag equalled Sir Don Bradman’s record of most triple centuries in Tests. Sehwag’s tweet read, “Also 9 years ago on this day, got out for 319 against SA, having reached 300 previous day [sic]. March mein target poora karne ki alag hi feel hai.”

9 years ago Sehwag gave a fitting reply to South Africa’s first innings score of 540 as he went on to score the fastest triple century of all time, getting to the feat in just 278 deliveries with a strike rate of over 100 including 42 fours and 5 sixes.

Sehwag scored both his double centuries on March 29 as well as he became ‘Multan ka Sultan’ after hitting his first triple century in Tests and that too against Pakistan in their home ground. Sehwag scored 309 runs from 375 balls featuring 39 fours and 5 sixes.

Sehwag’s one of a kind triple century helped India get to 627 helping them to take a lead of 87 runs over the Proteas. The Test match eventually got drawn, thanks to Sehwag’s ‘Chennai Express’ innings on a flat MA Chidambram Stadium in Chennai. South Africa managed to bat out till Day 5 and Sehwag’s triple ton could not enforce a Test victory for the home side.

Well, Sehwag has been known for his tweets and people literally follow him for ‘joke of the day’, witty birthday wishes and what not but praising himself for his triple centuries is a first for him on Twitter.

Although he praised himself for frustrating the bowlers and hitting him them for fours and sixes in the far corners of the stadium. The most infamous one being when Sehwag kidded around with Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar in the commentary box and post-match shows.
