Virender Sehwag, the former swashbuckling Indian opener and wittiest Twitterati of the recent times, turned 39 today. Those lucky ones who get ‘Sehwagi Wishes‘ on their birthdays have been trying their best to give it back to the wizard of Twitter on his birthday. Viru Paji’s former teammates like Parthiv Patel, Ishant Sharma, Suresh Raina and Mithun Manhas shared throwback photos where Sehwag could be seen in different avatars. Universe Boss Chris Gayle also sent his wishes to Sehwag while renowned Indian journalist Rajat Sharma shared a video in which Sehwag could be seen talking about the famous ‘Baap-Beta‘ incident involving legendary Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar.
In the video, Sehwag speaks about how Shoaib Akhtar poked him during an India vs Pakistan match to hit a hook shot off his delivery. Later, when Sachin Tendulkar played the same hook shot to him, Sehwag, who was at the non-striker’s end, went to Akhtar and said,”Baap, baap hota hai, aur beta, beta.”
