WATCH: Brendon McCullum introduces NEW SHOT. It is RIDICULOUS!

Brendon McCullum is also remembered for setting the Indian Premier League on fire with a mind boggling 157 in the IPL opener in 2008

Former New Zealand cricketer Brendon McCullum is one of a kind. He has the guts, experience and was considered as one of the most feared batsmen in the world of cricket. After calling it quits from international cricket, he has been featuring in a number of cricketing leagues around the world. Brendon McCullum is also remembered for setting the Indian Premier League on fire with a mind boggling 157 in the IPL opener in 2008. A former Kolkata Knight Riders player, he now represents the Trinbago Knight Riders. He still has the touch and the game and he put that on display in a recent Caribbean Premier League match.

The match was played between Trinbago Knight Riders and Jamaica Tallawahs. Both the sides were strong. TKR batted first and put up a mammoth 208 in 20 overs. Brendon McCullum, who opened the batting scored a breathtaking 91 off 61 balls. The innings comprised of 6 fours and seven sixes.

But what caught our eye was something that has never happened on the cricket field – an advanced scoop, which is a unique shot.

McCullum played the shot in the 14th over, when the score was 108 for 2, which startled everybody present in the stadium. The bowler was the right arm medium, Odean Smith. He bowled a half volley, full length to the stumps. McCullum shifted to his right and scooped the ball over the wicket-keeper’s head. The ball managed to sail into the crowd.

Only Brendon McCullum can play an absurd shot like that.
