Australian batsman Peter Handscomb hit his second century in four matches on Wednesday against Pakistan. However, he got out at a personal score of 110 in a strange fashion.

He was playing the fifth ball of the 132nd over bowled by pacer Wahab Riaz. The delivery was wide and Handscomb played towards third man. However, in the process, he hit the wickets with his bat. Neither Handscomb nor Pakistan players realised that he had dislodged the bails. The decision was sent upstairs to the third umpire who pronounced him out.

Though it is not the end Handscomb would have wanted, he broke a hundred-year-old record. He became the only Australian player after Herbie Collins to have scored 50-plus score in at least one innings in the first four Test matches.

On the second day of the third Test match at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Pakistan scored 126 runs for the loss of two wickets. Opener Azar Ali scored a half-century. Veteran Younis Khan also scored a half-century. Australian pacer Josh Hazelwood took 2 wickets for 32 runs.

After this Australia declared their innings for 538 runs. They lost 8 wickets. Pakistan started their innings on a bad note as they first lost opener Sharjeel Khan for 4 runs and then also lost Babar Azam for a duck with only 6 runs on the board.
