Watch! Ishant Sharma hits ‘bulls eye’ during preps

India v Australia Ranchi: Ishant Sharma's seam position was perfect. Then it rammed into the stumps and disturbing it. That's what they call 'BULLS EYE'

Tall, lanky Ishant Sharma has emerged as the leader of the pace battery this season for India. He is someone who has gained muscles since he was critisised by many. India is playing Australia and the series is locked at 1-1, as India go into day five of the Ranchi Test with an eye to win the contest and take an unassailable lead in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Today is set up to be a humdinger of a day as the visitors will be grinding it out to secure a draw, whereas Virat Kohli and boys will look to run through the Aussie batting. All said and done, Ishant Sharma was spotted early in the morning doing warm-ups. He was bowling on an illusion-like pitch with wickets there. He was steaming in, with a ten steps run run-up and a high jump to the landing crease. Then the ball came out of his hand and the seam position was picture perfect. Then it rammed into the stumps and disturbing it. That’s what they call ‘BULLS EYE’!

May be Ishant will be bowled in short bursts as the bulk of the bowling will be shouldered by the spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin but he wants to leave no stones unturned. That should be the spirit he is setting the right examples which augurs well for the future in overseas series.

India on day five will look to get the in-form Steven Smith back in the hut early as he literally stands between a draw or an Indian win.
