Pat Cummins has taken a flight from the Southern Hemisphere and landed in India two days back. There has been a lot of talk about him ever since Mitchell Starc backed out of the series following an injury. Pat Cummins has come to India and if he gets to play tomorrow, he will play after a hiatus of five years. He was there for an interview yesterday where he said he was surprised at the call-up as it came before it was expected.
Earlier today, he also braced a photoshoot session in India where several media houses had flocked the venue to get good pictures of the new entrant for the visitors.

In the photo shoot, he was positioned against a backdrop of a green chrome, we guess it is for the bio that every player has to go through—or is he vying for an advertisement contract?

Pat Cummins was selected in the team at the back of his eight-wicket haul in a Sheffield Shield game. There were others in the pipeline as well. It is not yet clear whether Cummins will get a game or not because there is Mitch Swepson as well, the leg spinner. So, if Smith opts for a three-pronged spin attack then Cummins would have to wait. With news pouring in, we get to know that Ranchi is going to be a slow turner.
