After registering a 4-0 series win against England, India maintained their supremacy in Tests throughout the year. The 18-match winning streak has helped captain Virat Kohli come at par with Sunil Gavaskar as far as being unbeaten is concerned. Ashwin maintained his number 1 position of being the best bowler and all-rounder while Kohli has achieved his career-best of being second in ICC rankings for batsmen. If there’s one task that the Indian team hadn’t completed before the year ended, it was the Mannequin Challenge.
But being in the rich form that India is in, nothing can stop them. In a recent trailer released by the Indian Cricket Team, one gets to see the glimpses of the Mannequin Challenge that India has successfully undertaken. The clip begins with Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav in the frame. The ‘brothers in arms’ pose has been perfected by the duo. Pacer Ishant Sharma, who is comfortably seated in a chair, can be seen pointing a finger at them.
In the next frame, Karun Nair is exchanging something with Manish Pandey while off-spinner Jayant Yadav can be seen having water from a bottle. Analytics and the usual practices by the coaching staff make for the last few seconds of the trailer. The teaser on social media has left fans asking for more. While the entire video is expected to be uploaded soon, from the trailer it seems that the Indian cricket team have done a good job at this task as well.
In case you are wondering what all of this about? Mannequin Challenge is one of the trending dares that has taken the internet by storm. As the name suggests, the participants try to imitate mannequins while they are being recorded. So, the key is to make zero movements and remain as motionless as possible while the video is recorded. All you have to do is to behave like you are frozen while the music continues to play in the background.

Football clubs from around the world such as Borussia Dortmund, Sunderland AFC, Paris Saint-Germain FC, Juventus FC and Manchester United FC have also tried their hand at the challenge. International football teams such as England, Scotland and Spain did the same but Portugal have out-performed other competitors. Leading from the front, skipper Cristiano Ronaldo is the centre of attraction of the video who is standing in his trademark pose with just his briefs on.
