He has been making headlines ever since the DRS controversy—if it wasn’t for his batting prowess. Virat Kohli came out in a press conference and claimed that his Australian counterpart was not abiding by the laws of the game. Steve Smith was looking for assistance from the dressing room when he was adjudged leg before wicket after BCCI filed a complaint to the ICC looking for a probe into the incident. The apex body cleared both the players of any punishments but that has not gone down well with a few. Leading this brigade is Sunil Gavaskar who said that ICC was being partial to Australia.
With all this happening outside the cricketing field, finally the Indian team hit the nets and Virat Kohli had all eyes on him. He was at the net to fine tune the problems he has been facing in the recent times. He has not got a score in excess of 20—very, very poor according to his massive standards and statistics.

Kohli was spotted having a knock at the nets. In the video released by the BCCI, Virat is hitting the ball right out of the middle of the bat, which is great. He is looking to play late cuts as well. In under 48 from now, he will be leading a bunch that will be eyeing their seventh consecutive Test win.
