Kohli credits his pacers for the victory against Bangladesh and speaks also about what he expects from the Pune wicket where they take on Australia in the first Test in 10 days time.

India finally put the final nail in the coffin by dismissing Bangladesh for 250 in the fifth day of the one-off Test.

During the live that was done by BCCI after the match, Virat Kohli despite scoring a magnificent double ton hailed the ‘fast bowlers’ for the win.

In that address Kohli says, ” With all the limelight hogged by the spinning duo it was great to see our fast bowlers step it up and win us the game. They took wickets as and when they were asked to.”

On reverse swing, ” It is heart warming to see the pacers, especially Bhuvneshwar Kumar use the new and the old ball so effectively apart from Ishant and Umesh who also did the same.”

He also glorified the win to the fact that it was a ‘combined team effort’ that saw us win the game.

Adding further Virat said, “In 2015 I was not in the best of form, but we were still winning games, thanks to the rest of the individuals coming to the party.”

Speaking of what he expects come Pune, where India plays Australia in the four-match Test series, Kohli said, “We expect the Pune wicket to be low and slow, that is how it behaves during this time of the year as we have the experience of playing IPL also. So I do not expect anything different. But we will still have to wait and see what it offers.”

About the Hyderabad wicket, he said, ” The pitch had nothing for the bowlers in the first two days, but then all credit to our bowlers the way they bowled in the last three days.”
