Indian skipper Virat Kohli is ‘brand value’ has spiked up in recent times, owing to his popularity across the world. He is well ahead of India’s cricketing giants, MS Dhoni and former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar despite his recent biopic release, Sachin- A Billion Dreams. It seems like his forgettable run in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 did not affect his brand value at all. The 28-year-old’s brand value is estimated as 120 million USD thanks to his recent deal with Puma (110 USD).
When converted into INR, his value exceeds Rs. 100 crores easily. However, he does not aim at competing with MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli as far as brand endorsements are concerned.
Kohli was quoted by News 18 saying, “Well the Puma deal happened alongside MRF deal and my brand value should be somewhere in the region of USD 120 million. But these are just numbers for me and this is something that my management informs me about.”
Kohli also revealed a few secrets as to how he approaches his deals, he said, “I am part of every deal and no deal is blindly signed. And my management also doesn’t bring anything to the table that doesn’t connect to me. But still, it is subject to something that I like or not.”
Kohli is currently leading the Indian side in ICC Champions Trophy 2017 as he looks to defend the title. With his current form and India’s performance recently, his brand value seems to be going up only. Currently, he is busy preparing for India vs Pakistan clash on June 4.
