'You're young, let's marry', Afghani spinner Rashid Khan gets marriage proposal during live match

In a match between St. Lucia Stars and Guyana Amazon Warriors on August 23, one of Rashid's female fan raised a placard which had a marriage proposal message

Afghanistan’s sensational young spinner has trained himself to become one of the best cricketers of his country Afghanistan. After making a debut at the age of 17, Rashid played phenomenally for his national team. He not only performed well for his country but also, his promising talent has made him one of the favourite players to look out for in the T20 leagues. His fan following is rising in such a way that he even received a proposal during a live T20 game.

Currently, Rashid is a part of Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League 2017. He is currently the third highest wicket taker for Guyana in the ongoing season with 8 wickets in 7 matches. In a match between St. Lucia Stars and Guyana Amazon Warriors on August 23, one of Rashid’s female fan raised a placard which had a special message for the cricketer – a marriage proposal. The girl was donning the Amazon Warriors jersey and she was captured in the camera while doing this act. The message written on the placard was – “Rashid Khan You’re young, I’m young. My roti is round, let’s settle down.”

Later, a picture of this fan expressing her feelings was shared on Twitter with a caption which read as “@rashidkhan_19  needs to pay a courtesy call to this young lady.”

Well, Rashid Khan has not responded to it yet but it would be interesting if he does. After all, he is just 18.

Rashid is the new cricketing talent to come up from the Afghani soil. Earlier this year, he was one of the first cricketers from Afghanistan to have played in the Indian Premier League. He represented the Sunrisers Hyderabad team led by David Warner. There he became the first bowler to grab the Purple Cap. He took 17 wickets in 14 matches.
