Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan on December 12 wished the newlywed couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma in a unique way. Shikhar, who is currently a part of the Indian squad which is currently playing 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, posted a never-before-seen picture on his Instagram account and used a filmy dialogue as its caption.
After dating for about four years, Indian captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma tied the knot in a private ceremony in Tuscany, Italy on December 11. The couple announced the news of their marriage via their respective Twitter handles.

Dhawan took to Instagram and posted a photo in which he can be seen sitting with wife Ayesha Mukherjee and son Zoravar on a scooty. By his side are Kohli and Anushka on another scooty.

The wedding was solemnised as per Hindu rituals, with the bride and groom looking resplendent in ensembles by celebrated couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

For the D-day, Anushka wore a pale pink lehenga with Renaissance embroidery in vintage English colours embellished with silver-gold metal thread, pearls and beads. The bridal jewellery, handcrafted with syndicate uncut diamonds, pale pink spinel and baroque Japanese cultured pearls, was designed by the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry collection.

The groom looked smart in an ivory raw silk sherwani, hand-embroidered in a vintage Benarasi pattern with a gold Chanderi safa.

Virat and Anushka will now host a wedding reception on December 21 in Delhi. Many cricketers including MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Shikhar Dhawan and Sachin Tendulkar are expected to attend the lavish affair.
