El Clasico is debatably the biggest fixture in the football calendar, mainly because the Spanish pair Real Madrid and Barcelona continues to completely dominate Europe. The duo will lock horns in the forthcoming La Liga fixture at the iconic Camp Nou on December 3, 2016.
Real Madrid have the advantage over Barcelona
Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid leading the league comes as no surprise as they are unbeaten in 13 games in the ongoing campaign, having won 10 times and drawn thrice. The Santiago Bernabeu club is on 33 points and thus have an advantage of six crucial points over Luis Enrique’s Barcelona. The Catalan outfit is presently on 27 points and is slightly struggling to showboat their world-class attitude, having won eight times, drawn thrice, and lost twice. Madrid definitely has the edge over their counterparts going into tomorrow night’s match. Zidane, Ronaldo, and company will certainly look to oust their rivals when they travel to Catalonia.

The upcoming encounter will be the 265th El Clasico in the history, that is when we include the 33 friendly fixtures. Otherwise, the clash will be the 232nd competitive match. In 232 games, Madrid has won 93 times to Barcelona’s 90, while 48 clashes have ended in a stalemate. But Real have netted 390 times in comparison to Barca’s 376, thus edging their rivals by a margin of 14 goals. If this doesn’t help Madrid claim the bragging rights over the Catalans then the next fact surely will. Real have claimed victory in 63 home matches and 26 away games compared to Barca’s 62 and 25. Stats back Real Madrid over Barcelona, history is on its way of repeating itself if Los Blancos continue their recent form. Blaugrana can try to even out the scenes but their rivals are expected to come out on top.
