The much-awaited FIFA Under-17 World Cup is all set to kick-off in New Delhi on October 6. The tournament, which will be played till October 28, will be hosted by India for the first time. A total of 24 teams qualified for the final tournament including India who qualified automatically as the hosts. The first match of the FIFA U-17 WC will be played between New Zealand and Turkey and it will start at 5 PM IST. The second match of the tournament will be played between host India and the United States at 8 PM IST. Both the matches will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (JLN Stadium).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with FIFA General Secretary Fatma Samoura and Head of FIFA tournaments Jaime Yarza may attend the inaugural matches of FIFA Under-17 World Cup Finals tournament.
On this historic day, many cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli and Bollywood star Dia Mirza among others took to their official Twitter handle to wish young Indian U-17 football team for the tournament. It is an opportunity for the young boys to showcase what Indian footballers can do at the world stage.

Indian Team Schedule:
The hosts will face the US on October 6, followed by Colombia and Ghana on October 9 and October 12 respectively at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi.
