Faking an injury in a football game is common practice followed by the players on the field. Recently, Tunisian goalkeeper Mouez Hassen was spotted faking his injury during a World Cup warm-up match against Turkey. But, the reason he gave for doing it was quite unique.
According to the reports, Mouez Hassen faked his injury in order to help his teammates break their Ramadan fast.
The incident happened in the 49th minute of the game as Hassen went down following a ‘minor collision’ while facing a corner shot. The footage of that moment has now gone viral on social media.
As the referee signalled for a break to provide treatment to Tunisian goalkeeper, his teammates rushed to the touchline and were seen drinking water and eating dates.
