Chelsea’s legendary midfielder Frank Lampard bids adieu to professional football. He is the fourth-highest goal-scorer for England in Premier League. Lampard announced his retirement through an emotional Instagram post sharing his experiences throughout his footballing career. He confesses that he has enjoyed every bit of his career, he wrote in his Instagram post, After 21 incredible years, I have decided that now is the right time to finish my career as a professional footballer.Whilst I have received a number of exciting offers to continue playing at home and abroad, at 38 I feel now is the time to begin the next chapter in my life. I’m immensely proud of the trophies I’ve won, of representing my country over 100 times and of scoring more than 300 career goals.” Lampard has made a total number of 609 appearances while playing in Premier League scoring 177 goals.

Lampard made his debut in professional football for West Ham United in 1996. The 38-year-old has been playing for Chelsea in English Premier League for the past 13 years and has won Premier League title three times and Champions League title once in his career. His achievements also include four FA Cups, two League Cups and one Europa League.
