After losing their first game against England by 8 wickets at Kennington Oval, London, Bangladesh are all set to face Australia in a must-win game in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 on June 5. Despite a good batting show and putting a total of 305 runs on the board, Eoin Morgan & Co. took the game home. On the other hand, the Aussies couldn’t play their last game against New Zealand as rain played the spoilsport and the match was abandoned with the distribution of 1 point to each team. At this note, it would be a chance for both the squads to have a fresh start in this tournament.
Bangladesh kickstarted their tournament with a blast as their batting performance was pretty impressive. Tamim Iqbal hit a century in the first game and became the highest scorer in Champions Trophy for Bangladesh. Also, wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim hit a fabulous 79 but the bowlers could not save the game against the hosts. The bowlers failed to take wickets and ruined up their economy. It was clear that they fell 20-30 runs short against England. However, they surely are hoping to carry their batting momentum against Australia.

The team from the sub-continent looked a bowler short in their line-up against England and may bring pacer Taskin Ahmed into the playing XI.

Speculations: Imrul Kayes may be dropped. Mehedi Hasan, Taskin Ahmed and left-arm spinner Sunzamul Islam are the primary choices. Sabbir Rahman may return to his No. 3 spot.
The Aussie bowlers impressed the audience with their attack against the Kiwis in their first game of the tournament. Especially, Josh Hazlewood who took a six-wicket haul and dismissed Martin Guptill, James Neesham, Neil Broom, Mitchell Santner, Adam Milne and Trent Boult. While John Hastings and Pat Cummins ended up taking 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
Their bowling attack was sharp enough to stop Kiwis within 291 runs but the are where they trembled was batting. Though the match was abandoned due to rain, but before the game stopped, Australia had lost 3 of its top batsmen including David Warner, Aaron Finch and Moises Henriques withing 53 run in 9 overs.
However in today’s game, Steven Smith & C0. has the chance to top the table by beating Bangladesh and gaining 3 total points.
Speculations: Chris Lynn and Adam Zampa may find the spot
