England got the crucial wicket of Murali Vijay in the dying moments of Day 3. Vijay scored 126 before he was caught by Hameed at forward short-leg of Adil Rashid’s bowling. Night watchman Amit Mishra didn’t disturb the scorekeepers as he fell in the same way like Vijay on his second ball. Zafar Ansari picked up his first wicket in the form of Mishra. India are 319/4 with captain Kohli at the crease with 26 runs to his name.
Cheteshwar Pujara fell after a brilliant knock of 124 as captain Cook took his catch on the bowling of Ben Stokes. Indian Test captain Virat Kohli joined Vijay who continued to dominate the English bowling attack. India are in a commanding position with 300 runs on the board with only two wickets down. The visitors failed to keep a check on India’s run-flow.
