India vs South Africa, ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Vijay Mallya welcomed with chants of ‘CHOR-CHOR’ outside Oval! [Watch Video]

India won the match quite comprehensively as they beat South Africa by 8 wickets with 12 overs to spare in a must-win ICC Champions Trophy 2017 clash

Wanted man Vijay Mallya once again made an appearance at Kennington Oval, London as he attended the India vs South Africa’s virtual quarter-final in ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2017. As Mallya was entering the crowd that had come to watch the match did not refrain from taking a dig at him. They chanted ‘chor-chor’ as he was entering the premises. Despite the chants, Mallya did not respond to any of them and quietly got his ticket verified and went in.

Mallya is currently seeking refuge in the UK after he fled India with a bank loan of Rs. 9,000 crores to SBI. He recently made an appearance in a charity event as well where the whole Indian team was present. According to BCCI, skipper Virat Kohli did not invite him who is the captain of the IPL side owned by Mallya before.

This is not the first time Mallya has come to watch the match and supported India from the VIP stands. He was present during India’s matches against Pakistan and Sri Lanka as well. He himself announced on Twitter as well, showing his willingness to attend India’s all matches in the tournament.

The 61-year-old tweeted, “Wide sensational media coverage on my attendance at the IND v PAK match at Edgbaston. I intend to attend all games to cheer the India team.”

India are through to the semi-finals of the tournament and still in the hunt for the title. They will be going up against Bangladesh in the semi-final. Mallya is expected to be present there as well.
