Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team has ended the Sri Lankan series, rounding the tour with a win in the one-off T20I at Colombo on Wednesday. Virat Kohli couldn’t have done better with the bat and as a captain. The team has been performing exceedingly well. Virat Kohli scored a belligerent 80 to guide India home along with an unbeaten 50 by Manish Pandey in his debut. India will be on the road as they take on Australia in 10 days time. That promises to be a super exciting series. For India, players like Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav have put their hands up and are performing well, which augurs well for a team that has its eyes set on the 2019 cricket World Cup.
Earlier in the week, Virat Kohli was spotted playing gully cricket in Sri Lanka with the local kids. He was batting left-handed and smashing the ball. Even with his left hand, he managed to play with ease. He has just set the bar too high for other cricketers to catch up, be it his fitness, maturity or leadership.
On Twitter, fans asked Virat Kohli to continue playing left handed for a while, here are the tweets:
At this rate, @imVkohli can become the best batsman ever in white-ball cricket; not just in terms of stats alone but in aura too #IndvsSL
