Mumbai Indians are a side that has shown glimpses of why it can be a team that could pose a threat to the trophy. But their big problem has been the fact that their big guns in the top order did not get going. Rohit Sharma, Parthiv Patel and Jos Buttler have not really played an innings of substance till now. Gujarat Lions is another team that will be desperate to get back to winning ways. They too, will hope their famed top order that boast of Brendon McCullum and Dwayne Smith come good. Suresh Raina is another player who will have a lot of eyes on him. Ravindra Jadeja could be their trump card with the ball and the bat. Mumbai Indians have never defeated Gujarat Lions and they would be hoping to rewrite history.
Going by the trend it seems the team that will win the toss will opt to field first. This is the first of the double-headers on Super Sunday.
