19:25 IST According to inUth’s facebook pool KKR is expected to win against SRH in the eliminator.
19:20 IST RCB pitch has not been the batsman paradise it used to be, the teams will be looking to bowl first after winning the toss.
Welcome to inUth’s ldigital coverage of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017’s eliminator between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. This is a cliche do-or-die situation for both the teams as the one who loses will get knocked out of the tournament. SRH are in high spirits after qualifying for the finals with a bang against Gujarat Lions (GL) whereas KKR have seemed to hit a rough patch recently.
Head -to-head SRH vs KKR
Despite the recent performances, KKR have had a good record against SRH and on paper, it looks like they might just get through the eliminator tonight. KKR have won 7 of the 11 games they have played against SRH till now. Even SRH coach Toom Moody said that they are not concerned about the records and will look to dominate KKR in the eliminator.
Will Yuvraj Singh play?
Yuvraj’s availability to play in the eliminator has been an issue. He has been in good form this season and SRH need a responsible and experienced batsman in the middle order who can perform if the top order fails to deliver. Yuvraj did not play in the previous match as well due to his finger-injury. It will be interesting to see whether he risks his fitness ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. In the previous match, Vijay Shankar stepped up to the task and provided the match-winning partnership alongside David Warner.
Will Narine-Lynn duo get another chance?
Narine’s form in the top order was short-lived as after hitting the fastest half-century he could not fire up the order. Chris Lynn has been consistent after making a comeback post injury. But, Narine’s wicket puts too much pressure on the middle order. Gautam Gambhir might make a decision to bat in the opening slot and keep Narine for later.
Kolkata Knight Riders: Sunil Narine, Chris Lynn, Gautam Gambhir(c), Robin Uthappa(wk), Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Colin de Grandhomme, Kuldeep Yadav, Umesh Yadav, Trent Boult, Ankit Rajpoot, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Darren Bravo, Rishi Dhawan, Chris Woakes, Rovman Powell, Ishank Jaggi, Sayan Ghosh, Ramsingh Sanjay Yadav, Sheldon Jackson, Shakib Al Hasan, Piyush Chawla, Suryakumar Yadav
Sunrisers Hyderabad: David Warner(c), Shikhar Dhawan, Moises Henriques, Vijay Shankar, Deepak Hooda, Mohammad Nabi, Naman Ojha(wk), Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Siddarth Kaul, Mohammed Siraj, Tanmay Agarwal, Ben Laughlin, Pravin Tambe, Eklavya Dwivedi, Chris Jordan, Barinder Sran, Mustafizur Rahman, Abhimanyu Mithun, Ben Cutting, Yuvraj Singh, Bipul Sharma, Kane Williamson, Ricky Bhui
