It was Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson who brought Delhi alight with their sixes and helping Delhi Daredevils to an important victory against Gujarat Lions, solidifying their playoff berth. Pant and Samson showed no respect to the bowlers, it was mayhem at the Ferozshah Kotla ground. Delhi Daredevils coach Rahul Dravid who has been closely working with this unit and has had first hand experience of playing with them was in a better position to explain them, in an interview after the match Rahul Dravid spoke exclusively.
“I am glad that you have not been watching too many videos of me batting when you need 208 in 20 overs. Well done boys, terrific innings,” Dravid told the duo in an interview posted on IPL’s official website.
Adding further he said, “What I found impressive in Rishabh’s batting is that he was not worried about his hundred. He was always looking to take the team home. But I am a hard taskmaster and I hope next time you will finish the job and stay not out”.

The partnership the duo had was 143 off 63 balls for the second wicket. It was surreal and to be witnessing must have been even better.
“Incredible innings from the two boys and truly well deserved,” he ended.
Delhi are currently fighting to stay alive in the league after a disastrous first half in the tournament.
