Impressed with his match winning knock against the Gujarat Lions in an Indian Premier League match number 50 on May 10, India’s batting legend Sachin Tendulkar sent a special message to young Delhi Daredevils batsman Shreyas Iyer, calls him an ‘amazing talent’.

Shreyas Iyer, who single-handedly won the game for Delhi Daredevils, scored 96 off just 57-ball at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Chasing a mammoth 196 run target set by Suresh Raina-led Gujarat Liosn, Delhi lost half their side for just 105 runs before Shreyas Iyer and Australian Pat Cummins’ cameo (24 of 13 balls) guided the visitors to the win.

Soon after his match winning innings, Sachin Tendulkar took to his official Twitter account to praise the batsman, he wrote: “Magnificent innings by #ShreyasIyer last night. There is some amazing young Indian talent in this IPL.”

Shreyas Iyer, who missed a magnificent century by four runs, smashed 15 fours and two sixes during his stay in the middle.

Delhi Daredevils, who is currently at the six position at the points table, are already out of contention for the play-offs.
