It all started when Virat Kohli trolled Ravindra Jadeja for his ’70’s anchor’ look after IPL’s game between Gujarat Lions and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Jadeja took to Twitter and posted a video flaunting his beard with caption “Change the game on the field. Change the look in the dressing room”. And soon #BreakTheBeard challenge broke.
Mumbai Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma and all-rounder, Hardik Pandya followed Jadeda by taking the ‘beard challenge’. But when it came to the skipper of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli aka Mr. Stylish of the Indian cricket, had something else on his mind.
Virat, known to take the challenges on and off the field, choose to stay away from the beard game this time. He took to his Instagram account and posted, “Sorry boys @hardikpandya_official @royalnavghan @rohitsharma45 but I am not ready to break the beard yet. Great job on the makeovers though. Kudos”
Though Virat has denied the #breakthebeard challenge, but we are sure he’ll will come up with a look of his own as his fashion game is always on point.
The first one who challenged Jadeja for the beard game was Hardik Pandya who posted a video on Instagram “Jaddu (Jadeja), this one’s for you. We got no dressing room confusions here now.”
Rohit Sharma also joined the league and posted his video on Instagram with a caption, “Decided to finally have a summer style of my own. My time to #breakthebeard.”
