Kings XI Punjab won the toss and opted to field first. Sunrisers Hyderabad is a team in-form and a frontrunner to make the playoffs. Dhawan and Warner got off to a good start but soon the former departed for 15. That did not bog down David Warner as he continued the way he was. But the showstopper was Axar Patel who got two in two to get KXIP right back into the game. He dismissed Moises Henriques and Yuvraj Singh in two balls. That really set back the momentum for SRH. But Warner continued ticking away singles and twos, he was not playing his natural game as he was not allowed to, thanks to some good bowling. But that did not stop David Warner from scoring his fifth consecutive 50 against KXIP.
Naman Ojha looked well till he lasted, he got a brisk 34 off 20 balls but then fell prey to a rash shot where he was beaten, only to be stumped by Saha. Ishant Sharma was economical giving away 23 runs off 4 overs but the pick of the bowlers was Axar Patel who picked up 2 wickets for 33 runs in 4 overs. It has to be said that KXIP really stiffled the SRH batsman quiet.
Our skipper loves it against KXIP, given his track record. A great way to rise to the occasion and deliver. Kaboom! #OrangeArmy #SRHvKXIP pic.twitter.com/sRXjONHKcW

David Warner ended with 70 off 54 balls and he carried his bat through. KXIP need 160.
