On the other hand, Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers are struggling with their position in the points tally as after Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) win in their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), RCB has been drifted to the 8th position with only 2 wins and 4 losses.

The tournament for the Kolkata Knight Riders has been a balanced one so far. Out of 6 matches, KKR lost only two – against Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Gujarat Lions (GL) – and has 6 points in their accounts. Skipper Gautam Gambhir’s gamble to open every inning with spinner Sunil Narine has been working from previous several games. Especially in the last one against GL where he scored 42 off 18 balls. The bowling performance has also been up to the mark despite few hick ups.

Talking about the Royal Challengers Bangalore, despite big names in their list of players, the side has been struggling to be among the top four in the points table. Initially, the team suffered as skipper Virat Kohli couldn’t play few games due to his injury. Later when he joined, another in-form batsman AB de Villiers got ruled out due to injury. However, in the last game which they won against the Gujarat Lions, Chris Gayle was seen coming back into his skin as he played a monstrous knock of 64 off 50 balls and completed 10,000 T20 runs.

But their bowling has been a major concern for them right from the beginning. Though there are some class bowlers in the squad including Shane Watson, Tymal Mills, Yuzvendra Chahal, Iqbal Abdullah, but it had failed to perform well and get the victory.
