Bollywood diva Yami Gautam, who was last seen in Kaabil alongside Hrithik Roshan, performed at the 8th and the last ceremony of the Indian Premier League season 10 at the Ferozshah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi on April 15.
Yami performed on some of the hits like Nachange Saari Raat, Rum Rum from her debut movie Vicky Donor, besides grooving to Gala Goodiya and Soniya.
Known for her performances in films like Vicky Donor , Badlapur and Sanam Re among others, Yami will be next seen in Ram Gopal Varma directorial Sarkar 3. This would be the third installment of the Sarkar film series. The film also features Amitabh Bachchan and Manoj Bajpayee in the lead.
This is for the first time in the history of IPL that the organisers have decided to provide some entertainment quotient to the crowd at the start of first match at every venue. Earlier, actress Parineeti Chopra backed out from the event due to her prior commitments.
Punjabi Singer Guru Randhawa too joined Yami with his famous song “Tenu Suit suit karda” in the brief 20-minute ceremony.
Besides Yami, rapper Raftaar too performed at the IPL ceremony. Raftaar enthralled the crowd, present to witness the encounter between Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab, with his song Dhakkad from the film Dangal.
Later, Delhi Daredevils skipper Zaheer Khan presented the Spirit of Cricket token to his opposite number and Kings XI Punjab’s Glenn Maxwell.
