Zaheer Khan will be looking for his team’s first win of the season, they lost the first match in a nail-biter of a contest which went into last over, thanks to a spirited performance of Rishabh Pant. On the other hand, RPS won their first match, courtesy skipper Steven Smith who ended the match with two sixes against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Before the match, MS Dhoni has been in the news, not because of his performance but a picture posted by her wife Sakshi Rawat. Her wife posted a photo on Instagram with Chennai Superkings (CSK) jersey which was interpreted by media as a reply to Rajiv Goenka who praised new skipper Smith for his performance. Goenka in his tweet mentioned that his decision to replace Dhoni with Smith worked out pretty well.
DD fiery batsman Pant got loads of praises fo changing the game single-handedly against RCB. International players took to Twitter to express their praise as Pant did what Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar had done in past, returning to the team after his father’s final rites and scoring well.
DD’s leg-spinner Amit Mishra too was trolled as he got picked up for a few too many runs while bowling followed by a poor effort in batting as well. Mishra was being too ambitious trying to hit big shots whereas he was supposed to bring Pant on strike who was batting beautifully.
