Mumbai Indians won the toss put Sunrisers Hyderabad into bat. Harbhajan Singh started off proceedings. Unexpectedly, SRH got off to a sedate start, David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan took their time earlier on but when a loose ball came, they were all over it. David Warner fell for 49 off 34 balls. Surprisingly, Deepak Hooda was promoted up the order, but he did not succeed as he departed for 9. Then Yuvraj Singh joined Shikhar Dhawan and the both of them them carried the score past 100 before Shikhar Dhawan fell short of 2 runs of 50. Finally, they set MI a target of 159.
Mumbai Indians got off to a good start, but then Jos Buttler fell for 14 and then wickets started falling in a jiffy. Rohit Sharma too did not get going and fell early, he was followed by Parthiv to the dressing room. Then Kieron Pollard fell and the score was 111 for 4 and MI was in a spot of bother. But the new pin-up boys of IPL, Nitin Rana and Krunal Pandya stood up to the bill and delivered, if it was Hardik the other night, it was Krunal who was the aggressor. Krunal Pandya played a breathtaking 37 off 21 balls, his innings comprised off 3 sixes and 3 fours. From the time the chase began, it was evident who was winning it, Mumbai indians always had their noses in front.
The Pandya brothers are a big part of the wonderful balance that #MumbaiIndians now have.
