IPL 2017, DD vs MI: Delhi Daredevils register second lowest total, Mumbai Indians register biggest win!

Delhi Daredevils another humiliating defeat in IPL as they get bundled out for a lowly score once again despite chasing down 209 in the previous game

Delhi Daredevils (DD) batting lineup seemed to be getting late for Baahubali’s late night show as they got bundled out for a score of 66, against Mumbai Indians (MI) at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. It was their lowest total in IPL matches after they got all out for 67. DD bowlers once again failed to stop the flow of boundaries as they let MI post a total of 212 despite having one of the best pace bowling lineups in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017.

When MI posted a gigantic total, everyone hoped for a tough tussle between them and the visitors. DD batsmen recorded their biggest chase as they chased down a total of 209 in the previous game, but, this time around they seemed to have lost the plot getting bundled out for 67 in a matter of 13.4 overs with 38 balls to spare.

Three of the DD batsmen got out for duck whereas only three could score in double digits. Spinners Harbhajan Singh and Karn Sharma took 3 wickets each breaking the backbone of DD’s batting lineup. Lasith Malinga took 2 wickets whereas Mitchell McClenaghan and Jasprit Bumrah pick up one wicket each.

MI register their biggest win in the history of IPL 2017, with that win they also qualified for the IPL 2017 playoffs with 9 wins from 11 games. Earlier, MI batting went all guns blazing as Lendl Simmons scored a half-century in his first game in IPL 2017. Kieron Pollard having promoted to the top of the order, he scored 63 from 35 balls. Hardik Pandya did the rest scoring in death overs. Pat Cummins bowled his worst spell giving 59 runs from 4 overs.
