The third league game of the Indian Premier League commenced in Rajkot where the home team Gujarat Lions took on the Kolkata Knight Riders and as expected, the dosage of entertainment and fun was delivered right from the beginning. KKR won the toss and elected to field first while Brendon McCullum and the IPL debutant Jason Roy came in to bat. Roy was massive in the first over but was dismissed early. But as soon the Lion King – Suresh Raina – came into bat, it was all runs pouring in the ground.
Former Kiwi skipper and the IPL sensation McCullum look no different in his style and he was the only one who set the stadium on fire. His bat was yelling big shots and mostly the ball landed outside the fence. Be it Sunil Narine, Piyush Chawla or Kuldeep Yadav, McCullum had no mercy on any of them. Both Raina and McCullum built a partnership of 50 runs for the 3rd wicket.

Unfortunately, he was dismissed by the Chinaman Kuldeep Yada after scoring 35 in 24 balls.
