Welcome to inUth’s live digital coverage of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017’s Match 56 between Delhi Daredevils (DD) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delhi. Virat Kohli & Co will be looking to end this season on a high as they have managed to win only 2 games in 13 games and currently at the bottom of IPL 2017 standings. DD are no far behind as they are currently in 6th spot with 6 wins in 13 games.
It will be a chance for Virat Kohli who has had a disappointing season so far according to his standards. Kohli will also get the backing of Delhi crowd as they will be backing the Indian skipper. Nothing seems to have worked for RCB as their batting which used to be their positive point has let them down. Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers too have not done what has been expected from them.
Gayle’s bad form has been one of the reasons for RCB’s downfall, from being the runners up to the bottom of the table. De Villiers has left for Champions Trophy preparations and will be replaced by Travis Head in the team.
On the other hand, DD have lost several close games as well. They have been reduced to their lowest total in IPL 66 and 67. Their batting lineup has chased down a mammoth total of 214 as well. DD have been a surprise package of this tournament so far with young guns Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant proving their mettle. There is a big question mark whether Ben Hilfenhaus gets to play a game in 2017 or not as Carlos Brathwaite has been out of form for a while.
